Salik and traffic fines
Every toll and every fine, on the booking of the customer who had the car.
Upload your Salik or DARB trip export, log a fine in seconds from any authority in the seven emirates, and Garagii.rental matches each one to the booking by plate and time, then charges it with your own admin fee.
The usual way
A fine arrives three weeks after the car came back.
Someone opens the portal, copies the plate and the time, searches the contract book for who had the car that day, works out the admin fee, and sends a message the customer may not answer. Salik is the same, a few dirhams at a time, a hundred times a month. Garagii.rental does the searching and the arithmetic; your team only looks at the few it couldn't match.
How it works
Import. Match. Charge.
- 1
Import
Upload your Salik or DARB trip export and map the columns once, or add a single crossing by hand from the official gate list. Log a fine in seconds, and check the authority with one click.
- 2
Match
Each one is matched to the booking by plate and time, including the days an extension added. However the export writes the plate, it's read the same way.
- 3
Charge
It lands on that booking and that customer, with your admin fee and your VAT treatment. Every fine matched to a customer's booking stays in the Incidents section of their profile.
Nothing is guessed. A fine or crossing that can't be tied to one booking stays on the list with the reason (the plate wasn't recognised, the car wasn't on rent at that time, or two bookings overlap) for your team to settle.
What's covered
All seven emirates, every kind of fine.
Tolls
Salik in Dubai and DARB in Abu Dhabi, with every current gate on the list.
Police
Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
Parking and municipalities
Mawaqif and every emirate's municipality.
Toll-gate penalties, roads and federal
Toll-gate penalties kept apart from ordinary crossings, plus road, transport and federal portals.
Your rules
Set once, in Settings › Fines & tolls.
And locked onto each booking the moment it's confirmed. If you change your admin fee next month, a customer who booked today is charged what they agreed to, with no argument at the counter.
You set every amount.
One-click checks
Your traffic files, one tap from the official portals.
Save your company's traffic file numbers once, and each car's from its mulkiya. Then check without retyping anything.
Check fines by car
Opens Dubai Police's fines page for that plate, already filled in.
Check fines by traffic file
The same for your company's whole file, with the RTA lookup a click away and the file number ready to paste.
Open Salik
Straight to your account's trip history, to download the next export.
What it changes
No spreadsheet. No phone-tag.
The right customer, every time
Matched by plate and time against your bookings, extensions included, not by memory.
Late fines still get paid
Hold the deposit for as many days after return as you choose, so a fine or toll that shows up later is deducted before the refund.
Your own driver at the wheel?
The fine stays with you, never with the customer, automatically.
Cars you lend, sorted
On a car you lent through the network, the fine follows the car to your partner's invoice.
Charges nobody can dispute
The fee and VAT rules the customer agreed to are the ones on the invoice.
Salik and fines, asked and answered.
Do you connect to my Salik account?
No, on purpose. Salik has no public connection for software, so we never ask for your Salik password. You download the trip export from your account and upload it; “Open Salik” takes you straight there.
Do you need my Dubai Police or Salik passwords?
No. Garagii never asks for your Dubai Police or Salik passwords. Fines are one click away on the official site; Salik trips come in from your own export.
Does Garagii.rental pay the fines for me?
No. You still pay the authority as you do today. Garagii.rental records the fine, finds the customer and charges them back.
Which emirates and authorities?
All seven. Police in every emirate, the municipalities and Mawaqif, Salik and DARB, and the federal portals.
What if a fine doesn't match a booking?
It stays on the list with the reason, for your team to settle. Nothing is guessed or charged to the wrong person.
What about a booking that was extended?
The extension counts. A fine on day nine of a booking extended from seven days goes to the same customer.
Can I charge VAT on fines and tolls?
You choose, separately for fines and for tolls: pass them through at cost, or add VAT at the standard rate, whichever your tax adviser tells you.
